JAVA GWT Developer

One of our clients, an international company in the financial services industry located South of Brussels currently requires a Senior Java/GWT Developer with min. 8 years experience

Length: 31/12/14 (+ possibility of being extended)

Job Summary:

Within the Interface Applications group we are hiring highly motivated developers, being ready to participate in the design, development and testing
of software solutions that are required to meet our Interface deliverables.
Were looking for an energetic, smart and motivated professional withat least 8+ years of experience in software development and testing.

Your responsibilities will be to:

- Design, develop, test, install and support Interface products in line with agreed requirements.
- Participate to feasibility studies to validate technical solutionsfor product enhancements. &n
- Analyze problems, develop and propose solutions. &nbs
- Provide technical assistance to other SWIFT colleagues and provide guidance to more junior team members in their daily work. &nb
- Provide timing/scheduling estimates to project lead and propose corrective actions when necessary. &nbs

Requires profile:

- Education: University degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 8+ years experience in software systems development and testing
- Skills required - Professional knowledge and expertise:
- OS: Windows (Windows 7 & Server 2008) &UNIX (AIX, Solaris, Linux)
- Programming languages: in depth Java, UNIX Shelland Windows Scripting
- Web development: Google Web Toolkit, Ajax, Javascript
- GUI test automation based on Selenium
- Web services: SOAP, XML, HTTP
- Knowledge of relational database related technologies (Oracle)
- Experience with techniques to improve scalability, performance and resilience (ie multi-processing, Multithreading, clustering,...)
- Software development tools: Clearcase, Eclipse,...
