JAVA FX Pricing Developer - Initial 3 Month Contract - Melbourne

Our client is a leading investment bank that provides a wide and diverse offering in the Australian market. They have a highly regarded name based on their current work, professional culture and progressive growth strategies. Due to an ever increasing project pipeline they are looking for a senior Java developer to work across their FX space.

The team works as part of a regional group and has a current remit to overhaul, enhance and develop new low latency trading systems and interfaces that will enable an aggressive business growth strategy across APAC.

The role is looking for a seasoned developer that can work independently but knows when to qualify the direction of their work to ensure efficient, accurate components are delivered that are fit for purpose.

Skills Required:

SKILLSET

- Highly proficient in Server Side Java SE development, including continuous integration toolset (Eclipse, JUnit, Git, Maven, Jenkins)
- Other Skills: Spring Framework/Messaging/Oracle/Oracle Coherence/Google Protocol Buffers/
- Proficient in standard Linux operating system tools
- Good FX/financial markets domain knowledge
- Strong time management and communication skills; independent worker
- Available to work to 6pm or 7pm as required to collaborate with the London team

DELIVERABLES

- Rate Adapter build for Rates & Pricing Engine
- Integration build of Rates & Pricing Engine to downstream systems including:

o Tick DB

o CAVI

o Hosted RET

- Build of a Value Date Service to retrieve the correct value date and holidays
- Testing support
