Java Software Engineer - Greater Manchester - £30,000 - £34,000 My client, a software house based just outside of Manchester Centre, is currently looking for 2 java developers to join there fast-paced and highly skilled development team. The Principal Duties and Responsibilities of the candidate would be: 1 Responsible for the satisfactory completion of tasks set by management. 2 Recognizes economic aspects of the job. 3 Demonstrates professional conduct and business ethics. 4 Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new projects 5 Follows instructions and procedures to install and integrate software solutions 6 Contact with others is primarily internal 7 Works on problems of limited scope, e.g. performs changes to a single module 8 Responsible for production of associated documentation e.g. Detailed Module Design, Module Test Specification 9 Fault fixing 10 Occasional site visits Additional Duties and Responsibilities 1 Training objectives and tasks set by manager. 2 Receives guidance from more senior employees and management. 3 Progress is reviewed frequently, with an evaluation, formal or informal at the end of each assignment. 4 Uses education to contribute as a team member to solution of problems. Knowledge, Skill and Ability Required Entry level position for college graduates or equivalent 1 Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 2 Assigned to on the job training program designed to provide interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary experience. 3 Learns practical applications of education. 4 Typically completes Level I objectives in 24 months. 1 Has a high level of enthusiasm for work and presents self professionally. 2 Accepts direction from others. 3 Asks questions to ensure understanding of projects and tasks. 4 Able to prepare and present the results of research and analysis, verbally and in writing. 5 Excellent communication skills required To express your interest in this role forward your CV to Heather O'Rourke at Computer Futures or call 0161 817 7888 to discuss in more detail.
