JAVA DEVELOPER/SOFTWARE CRAFTSMAN - TELECOMS

First-rate Java Developer and Software Craftsman required for an international VoIP/telecoms company based in Central London. The Java Developer will be a Core Java samurai who is obsessed by clean coding, software quality and maintainable code.

The Java Developer will be working on a constantly evolving codebase delivering robust, highly available software for high-security telecoms/VoIP networks for high-profile clients in the UK and beyond.

The Java Developer will have excellent theoretical and commercial knowledge of different facets of Agile and should have taken several steps on the path to becoming a software craftsman.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Excellent knowledge of core Java and the Java.util.concurrent API
Excellent OO design skills with strong knowledge of design patterns
Commercial and academic knowledge of TDD
Experience of working on high availability, robust, distributed systems
Knowledge of messaging tools/queues

NICE-TO-HAVES

Knowledge of C++
Knowledge of Scala
Exposure to XP/pair programming teams/environments
