For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Senior Java Developer.

As a Development Engineer JAVA, you work at ground-breaking software/solutions on a daily basis. You are given plenty of room to use the knowledge and experience you have gained elsewhere in developing functionalities that contribute fundamentally to the reliability and safety of the services provides to customers.
The team is responsible for maintaining and improving the Interfaces to Finance, Risk and New York, and to develop automated workflows for the project.
The development work is centered around technologies like Java, Spring, jQuery, Angular, Subversion, Git, Nolio, Concordian/Fitnesse, Maven, Tibco, Visual Basic.
The work is mostly backend related involving concurrency and high quality software delivery in the Financial domain.
Your part will be to support the team with your Java skills to create high quality systems.
You play a crucial role in designing, coding, configuring and compiling the application version as well as in writing and performing the functional, integration and production tests. In doing so you work directly with the other Development Engineers and Operations Engineers in your DevOps Team.

Primary tasks/deliverables:
- Design, develop, test and deliver high quality software/solutions;
- Provide direct estimates, such as time, percentage of project completion, etcetera to lead and/or manager;
- Create and review additional product/project deliverables, for example high-level estimates, impact assessments, external
- Create and review unit/component integration test plans and scripts, execute tests, analyze and report on results;
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews/inspections;
- Research and resolve customer reported problems;
- Provide technical assistance to others.

Profile:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a related field or you have equivalent software development experience;
- At least (5 years of work experience As a Java Developer in a development department of a large and complex organization;
- Experience in automating/executing tests;
- Experience with working according to the Agile/Scrum methodologies;
- Experience with Java EE, SOAP/REST, Hybernate/JTA, Websphere, Maven, Jenkins, Git, Spring
- It would be great if you have experience with Tibco, Nolio, Nexus.
- Also, you speak and write Dutch and English fluently.

Your work environment:
As a Development Engineer JAVA, you will work for the duration of 1 year (until end of Q2 2016) in Amsterdam. You will work closely with approximately 10 Development Engineers and Operations Engineers in your own team to deliver support for the Finance, Risk and New York Batch Interfaces. And help to develop the workflow using TIBCO.
However, as, within IT, we quickly develop the safest and most reliable applications according to the Agile Scrum method and as we work on the basis of Continuous Delivery Engineer Practices, a continuous exchange takes place with other DevOps Teams as well. This is sure to add vast dynamism and energy to your work. DevOps Teams are teams that work together on developing and managing one or more applications for a period of at least 12 months. The importance of the client is leading in all respects. Thus, we ensure that our clients always receive correct and reliable information enabling them to make the best financial decisions. IT is a deciding factor in achieving this.
Furthermore, you are capable of adopting new techniques quickly and you at least command the following (engineering) knowledge and certificates: Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 7 Programmer.
