Java Developer - Scala/Big Data

JAVA DEVELOPER - SCALA/BIG DATA/BACK END DEVELOPMENT - This is a long term contract opportunity for an Developer to be involved in a major Big Data project.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Excellent PROGRAMMING SKILLS IN JAVA AND SCALA
- Strong Core/Back End development experience
- Experience with Big Data projects (Hadoop now-how) would be highly desirable
- Skills in exploratory statistics to relate to data analysts and statisticians
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Interacting with the architecture team to refine requirements
- Cooperating with the project team to implement solutions on the existing Hadoop platform
- Assisting the Platform Engineer to ensure that dependent components are provisioned
