JAVA DEVELOPER/PROGRAMMER - DUBLIN
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Java Developer to work for a leading client based in Dublin. The role will involve the development and maintenance of system and software components to ensure the successful delivery of platforms and services.
My Client is looking for several talented JAVA developers to join their new digital development team. In this role you will work closely with their development and product team to develop, modify and support their website and user interfaces across all channels.
Your responsibilities as a Java Developer will include:
- Delivering best-in-class JAVA applications, web services and complex solutions
- Developing high quality, testable and performant software, using agile practices
- Driving best technology and software development practices into the team with passion and enthusiasm
- Assisting analysts and business stakeholders in shaping, estimating and planning new requirements
- Participating in regular showcases of new work to the product owners and business stakeholders
- Striving for continuous improvement within the team
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proficient in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Mave
- Experience with JSON, XML and RESTful services
- Experience of building high performing and available Back End solutions
- Exposure or appreciation of agile development practices
- Comfortable with revision control systems (Mercurial)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of the coding standards required for high volume web sites from a security and performance perspective
- Experience of working with large Web sites and their underlying databases.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
