Java Developer/JEE

Currently we are looking for an excellent Java Developer for a long term contract position based in Amsterdam.

The client is a leading international company in the financial industry. You will be working in the frond office. The main objective of the Senior Java Software Engineer is to develop excellent solutions to run in a 24x7 environment. Development is done in Agile teams in close cooperation with users and co-workers and can include: the selection of technology, architecture, technical design, documentation, software development, testing and deployment.

You will be responsible for:

*To deliver fully unit tested Java software.
*To perform code review on 3rd party deliverables.
*To take a functional design through technical and code design to delivered solution.
*Providing support to other departments including operations for implementation.
*Performs R&D on new technology and creates POC to understand the value for this to the company.
*Actively uses his/her knowledge of agile methodologies to suggest improvements to the way of
working.

Skills
*Excellent knowledge of JAVA/JEE is a must-have
*Good knowledge of Java 6/7, JEE 5/6, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Weblogic 11g, Tomcat 6/7, Spring
Framework, Spring web services, Junit, TestNG, JPA, Hibernate, EclipseLink, JSP, JQuery, Javascript,
Eclipse, Hudson, Sonar, Subversion, Git and agile development.
*Advantageous would be knowledge of: HTLM 5, JSP, web design, Linux/UNIX
*Experience in the financial industry and/or E-commerce business is a must.
*Familiarity with service-oriented environments, Continuous integration.
*Preferably experience in a fast paced 24x7 environment
