Java Developer, Java Consultant, Java Analyst Programmer, SC Cleared

JAVA DEVELOPER, JAVA CONSULTANT, JAVA ANALYST PROGRAMMER, SC CLEARED, BRISTOL

We are looking, on the behalf of a major consultancy, for the services of an experienced Java Developer to join a team based in Bristol, working on a large Government project.

You will be required to develop a large scale operational application which will develop and complete phase 1 the project, and then to disseminate skills throughout the team for independent phase development capability. The role is for 3 months initially.

CORE DUTIES:

Develop software using Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE).

Produce technical specifications and software designs based on high level customer requirements.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to resolve requirements gaps and conflicts.

Create and execute comprehensive Unit Tests on developed software

Provide technical support, guidance and inspiration to other members of the team, to tight timeframes.

Develop functionally rich user interface software using the Sencha GXT Framework and UI widgets

EVALUATION CRITERIA:

Essential experience in all of the following

- Experience developing GWT (Google Webtools) and Senchia GXT
- User interface development experience -
- Java 2 Enterprise Edition - (J2EE) and Eclipse

Desirable Technical Experience

- Any experience of migrating a project to GWT/GXT
- Client Server communications (RPC, JSON, HTTP)
- Sencha extJS
- Javascript
- Oracle
- Spring 3
- Web Services/REST

Candidates must hold SC Security Clearance or be willing to undertake SC Security Clearance.
