The successful Java Developer will be an intelligent, highly motivated engineer who loves solving problems in the simplest (read: cleanest) way possible.

The Java Developer will form part of a heavily Agile-focussed development team working on a series of high-performance, highly scalable projects (ranging from customer engagement web applications to robust infrastructure monitoring systems) and applications for a list of highly successful blue chip clients (ranging from global entertainment companies to worldwide charities). All of the existing Java Developers in the team are passionate about software craftsmanship and clean coding, so the successful Java Developer should be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge around this subject.

The majority of your code in this organisation would be written in Java, but parts of the system do feature several other interesting tools and technologies like Scala, angular.js, Python and Cassandra. There is also a proven system in place for introducing other new technologies should there be significant worth that they would add value to the stack.

Key skills:
