Java Developer - Global Company

Our client is a multinational company with operations in Leixlip, Co Kildare. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Java Application Developer to join their team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

- Support all aspects of application migration and development
- Responsibilities include support, debug and development of systems in manufacturing environment.
- Support the integration of applications where required

Skills

- Object Oriented & Analysis Skills
- Web protocols & Security (SSL, HTTP, HTTPS)
- Web Service Technology such as SOAP, REST, etc
- Experience with requirements analysis, design, definition and implementation of software solutions
- XSLT and related XML technologies such as JAXB
- Designs, prepares and executes Java Unit tests..
- Familiarity with and usage of modern testing methodologies, unit testing, mock object frameworks, automated test tools.
- Application development frameworks: J2EE, JEE (Weblogic/JBoss), Spring etc.
- Data Access Technologies such as Hibernate, JPA etc.
- Strong experience working with tools such as Eclipse, Maven, Hudson and Subversion.
- Hands-on software design and development experience using Java.
- Experience with full software development life cycle
- Oracle and/or MS SQL Server
- Linux/Unix and good TCP/IP based networking knowledge.
- Understanding and practice of modern software development methodologies
- Understanding and practice of modern software development life cycle tools.
- Understanding of Software Test methodologies and testing tools.
