The Java Developer will be working in a Front Office environment to design, develop and implement a highly complex trading solution used by a multitude of traders across the globe with a specific emphasis on foreign exchange (forex).

The Java Developer will be working as part of a dynamic, fast-paced team alongside Quants, Traders, Analysts and other Java Developers tasked with improving the performance of the organisation's core FX trading platform, as well as adding two new, highly scalable modules to the platform. The Java Developer will be working with some truly elite engineers ensuring that all code is written in tune with the principles of software craftsmanship, modularity and scalability.

The Java Developer will be working as part of a highly profitable, innovative organisation which places a huge emphasis on technology; consequently, every engineer in the business is granted the opportunity to develop proofs of concept if they believe that a certain language or tool will increase productivity. As an example, the newest module of the platform has been written in Clojure and two Clojure-focussed projects have just commenced.
