Java Developer Entry Level £35k

The Bond Pricing department provides a range of software and services to financial market participants from Structured Finance to Corporate Bond Assets. You will join a global team of approx 20 developers who are using the latest methodologies to deliver products to the ever growing business. You will liaise directly with product managers, financial and business analysts and other team members to gather requirements then translate these into solid Java solutions.

You will be developing a range of bond pricing products - some will be new developments, others will be enhancing the existing software. Your technical skill set must comprise of:

Ideally 2 years of Java development experience - in a similar working environment.

SQL - relational database theory, stored procedures and other data manipulation technologies.

Spring, GWT and VBA are all nice to haves.

As well as having strong core Java development skills and experience, you will also have a solid academic background including a degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Maths or Physics.

Your ability as a Java Developer will be tested heavily during the interview process - this will include your ability to write out algorithms and Java syntax and your OO Fundamentals knowledge.
