Java Developer - Dublin

6 month contract in Dublin.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL INCLUDE BUT WILL NOT NECESSARILY BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

- 2-3 years Java and client-side development experience using MVC frameworks such as struts, JSF, struts2 etc.
- 2-3 years experience using  JSP, HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSL, XSLT
- 2-3 years Server Side development experience with J2EE (JMS, Web Services etc) and IBM WebSphere Application Server.
- SQL and Database communication, JDBC, JDO, Hibernate, iBatis etc.
- Practical knowledge of source control tools such as Subversion/CVS
- Experience of WebSphere MQ and LDAP technologies.
- Have achieved an IT qualification preferably to degree level.

NON-TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

- Excellent customer focus, with proven service delivery experience
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure work is completed in accordance with agreed plans.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible, proactive and focused in all aspects of approach to work.
- Analytical and technically minded with a proven ability in troubleshooting and technical problem solving.
- Enjoy working within a team and be capable of working under own initiative.
- Keen interest in emerging technologies
