Java Developer - Contract - Dublin

JAVA DEVELOPER

CONTRACT - DUBLIN - UP TO 360EUROS PER DAY

My client is searching and selecting for a talented Java Developer to join their end client on a 6 month contract in Dublin.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review requirements, workshop and engage with business analysts, input into Solution Assessments.
- Write technical and functional specifications according to business requirements. Engage in an iterative process of review and feedback sessions with updates following thereafter.
- Write and execute Unit and Integration test plans for all software developed.
- Support System and User Acceptance Test phases of the project.
- Collaborate with colleagues and mentor junior members of the development team.
- Support Performance Test, Implementation and Post-implementation review of the project.

KEY SKILLS (HAVE A MAJORITY OF SKILLS LISTED BELOW):

Server Side:

- J2EE (EJB, JMS)
- Java SE 1.5 minimum including Applets
- Spring 3.0 (Core, MVC, DAO, Security, Web Flow, AOP)
- SOAP, WSDL (webservices)

Front End

- HTML/CSS/Javascript
- XSL/XSLT
- JQuery
- XML/XPATH

Databases

- Hibernate/Ibatis
- SQL, PL/SQL
- Oraclae/DB2 databases

Build

- Ant
- Maven

Platforms & Tools

- Sun Solaris UNIX skills
- WebSphere Application Server 8+
- Rational Clearcase (source management) UCM and Base.
- GitHUB, Jenkins and CI/CD environment experience
- IBM's RAD (IDE), Eclipse or similar
- Interoperability across browser experience (IE8, Firefox, Chrome, Opera)
- JMeter (performance testing)
