Java Developer - 3 Month Contract

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking for a talented and experienced Java developer to join its development team and contribute to the design and deployment of new web-based applications.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and development of new functionalities for the company website and J2EE applications on the Unix platform. The Java Developer participates in the full software development life cycle to ensure that quality applications are delivered and excellent support is provided for internal and external customers.

The key qualification for this role are:

- JAVA, J2EE, HTML and XML programming experience
- Relational database programming experience
- Strong knowledge of Unix - Solaris
- Experience in developing in an Eclipse environment
- Experience with JBOSS and the Sun Java System Application Server
- Experience with HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP and SSL networking protocols
- Ability to produce high quality technical documentation
- Experience working on payment systems will be looked upon favourably
