Java Developer

Our client is a $750M multinational consulting firm offering Management, IT and Software Development consulting services, as well as outsourcing solutions. They have more than 15 years of experience in international markets. They specialize in banking, telecommunications, public administration, healthcare, utilities, insurance. Currently, they have operations in Europe, Latin America and the United States, with a professional staff of more than 12,000 consultants globally.

They are looking for high-achieving team players that are quickly adaptable to new challenges and entrepreneurial ventures. We are currently have multiple positions for Java Developer for our location in Birmingham, AL.

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
- Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
- Prepare and produce releases of software components
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Requirements:

- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven working experience in Java development
- Expert level skills or at least 2-4 years' experience in the following areas:
- Three or more of the following: Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Webflow, Hibernate, WebServices, REST Services, AJAX.
- Two or more of the following development tools: Maven, Eclipse, Jenkins, Nexus, SVN, GIT
- Languages: Java, JavaScript.
- Application Servers: WebSphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat, Node.js
- Others (not required): JQuery, HTML, CSS, JMS, MQ, SQL.
- Methodology: Agile and/or Waterfall
- Test Driven development experience required
- Experience with test cases design and development, execution and follow up
