On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance we are looking for an experienced Java Developer. For this contract position based in Ticino Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION ARE;

- A core Java developer with 4+ years' experience
- Experience with common Java frameworks eg Spring, Struts
- Solid Front End web development
- Knowledge and understanding of current best practices in Java development
- Demonstrable experience of good OO design and programming
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of application Servers esp. Oracle WebLogic
- Minimum of 4 years of DB experience
- Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
- A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Awareness of test-driven development and design
- Experience of working in a continuous integration environment
- Datamodelling experience
- Sybase ASE (15) experience
- SQL Server 2008 experience
