Java Developer

An excellent contract opportunity awaits an experienced Java Developer who is well versed in Object Oriented Design and development, including a well-developed understanding of design patterns, UML and iterative/agile development methodologies.

This opportunity is with a Federal Government client and has opportunity for long term opportunity.

To be successful your skills and experience will focus on the following

Demonstrated ability to review and build software components using:

- Java (6 and later)
- JEE 5
- EJB 3.0
- JPA
- Hibernate
- GWT
- SQL Server

Experience in any of the following technologies would be highly regarded:

- JBoss 5.1
- Drools
- Seam 2.2
- GXT
- Atlassian Crowd
- Experience with complex software requirements and be able to apply their knowledge of software development within an enterprise environment using industry and Government standards and best practice.
- Demonstrated experience with software quality assurance methods.
- Operate flexibly within a small multi-disciplinary team using excellent communications skills combined with strong analytical, problem solving and documentation skills.
