Java Developer

JAVA DEVELOPER REQUIRED TO JOIN A LARGE TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM, WORKING ON NEW DEVELOPMENT AND ENHANCEMENTS OF COMPLEX JAVA EE APPLICATIONS.

Duties:

- Write technical design document, including DB schema design
- Analyse and understand existing applications that need to be modified
- Undertake development work as required for system enhancements
- Coordination with other team members for promotion to test, training and production environments
- Support system testing and user acceptance testing
- Provide technical upgrades of tools and products as needed

Background:

- Minimum 5+ years experience as a Java Developer
- Experience in Java, EJB3, JDBC, Spring, JPA, Hibernate, XML, Jasper Reports, Web Services, Struts 1 and 2
- Experience in Oracle 11g, SQL and PL/SQL
- Working knowledge of HTML, JSP, JSTL, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, CSS
- Maven Scripting
- Experience with JBoss Application Server or similar Java EE 6 Application Server
- Ability to work well in a team environment with existing systems
- Quick learner

DESIRABLE:

- Development of applications with a high number of concurrent transactions
- Knowledge of PowerBuilder 10 or higher
