Java Developer

We are looking for a Java developer to help the team deliver on its promises and stay the most appreciated automotive website in the Netherlands.

As part of your work you will be extending the services and front ends of the website in order to provide better user experiences and new functionalities.

The platform is built upon JVM based solutions, as a result we expect you to:

- be fully conversant in Java
- a basic knowledge of Scala is a definite plus.

We leverage a lot of existing frameworks and technologies, some of which are:

- Thrift
- Camel
- Spring and SpringMVC
- jsps
- ActiveMq
- (my)SQL
- scalatra
- yammer metrics
- EhCache
- junit
- scalatest
- selenium

You will be expected to be able to work with these technologies comfortably. The client runs there services in a multi data centre setup, so it is important that you know how to build software that can scale and run in a distributed environment.
