Java/Cloud Engineer x 2

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
. Contribute to software and infrastructure development of cloud based PAAS
. Assess the suitability and impact of new software and hardware technology for the platform
. Responsible for the breakdown, definition and estimation of development tasks
. Responsible for the delivery of assigned development tasks
. Responsible for mentoring junior software developers and supporting their skill development

WORK EXPERIENCE
. 5+ years professional experience in a software development, systems engineering or equivalent role

* Ability to work within a fast paced team environment utilising clear communication
* Ability to present and engage in technical discussions with team members and management
* Ability to provide technical leadership to development team
* Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing requirements
* Highly tuned collaboration skills

Technical Skills

*J2EE multi-tier architecture
* Familiarity with agile software development processes
* Design Patterns
* Demonstrable professional experience with software development tools eg Eclipse, Git, Unit testing frameworks
* Deep understanding of Web Technologies: HTTP, APIs, OAuth, Legacy SOA (SOAP, REST), XML, JSON, 
* Demonstrable professional experience with programming languages eg Java
* Demonstrable professional experience with Scripting languages eg Python, Javascript
