Java Build Engineer

JAVA BUILD ENGINEER - 6 MONTH CONTRACT

My City Centre Client is looking for a Java developer who has a desire to work within the AWS space. This is an immediate requirement with interviews happening this week

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE:

We are working with a world leading in the cloud based E-commerce space, with offices in Dublin city centre. They are looking for a Java Developer to join their experienced team, to be involved in some global scale software development projects, working with some of the biggest brands in the world.

You will be developing new software components, and developing and maintaining automated build scripts for their software (They use Jenkins and Gradle for their builds).

WHAT YOU NEED

- A number of years' professional experience in Java Development, ideally having worked with Spring Frameworks.
- Knowledge of Jenkins and Grade or similar.
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Professional experience with a distributed version control system such as Git or Mercurial.
- Have developed commercial software products or SaaS.
- Exposure to Unit Testing/Test Automation would be a plus.

DESIRABLE

- An understanding automated deployment to Amazon AWS is advantageous but not essential. ( Such as Amazon Beanstalk, Puppet, Opscode Chef/Amazon Ops Works, Amazon CloudFormation).
- An ability to write SQL for PostgreSQL, MySQL or other relational databases would be useful but not essential.
