JAVA Architect

Proteus Europe is searching for a Java Architect for one of our Insurance clients based in the outskirts of Brussels (South West).

Your New Role:-

We are looking for a technical Architect who has at least 5 years with Java skills and at least 3 years as a Java Architect.

The goal of the project is to provide a platform for routing information between care providers/social security sectors and insurance organisations, in a secure way. Project is coordinated by the CIN/NIC that federates the Insurance Organisation. The parameters of the project are 5000 pharmacists, 8000 nurses, 180 hospitals, 2000 doctors (still in rollout) which corresponds to more than 2.000.000.000 transactions per year.

Project Mission:

- Bring ideas for the evolution of the platform (eg improve resources management and footprint on the Servers)
- Analyze and proposition to change requested by customer
- Participate to regular technical meetings with customer
- Define, based on workshops conducted with customer, an architecture in line with strategy and standards
- Provide estimates for implementation
- Work with the Project Manager on a high level planning (defining phases or iterations)
- Document service catalogs for stakeholders
- Lead development team by providing them technical guidance
- Provide a detailed design analysis to developers, including non-functional aspects (operability, scalability,)
- Define technologies, frameworks, tools to be used by development team
- Liaise with operational teams in a devops way of working
- Provide - last line- support to incidents
