Java Architect

Our  Belgian based Client is specialized in design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in sectors of Defense, Security, Transport and Aerospace.

They are currently looking for a JAVA SOFTWARE ARCHITECT to develop Application Software

The "software group" is responsible for the analysis, the design, the development and the maintenance of software components.

You will guide the technical analysis, design and development activities of the Java projects and participate yourself to the development od complex software modules.
You will keep up today planning and estimations.
You will conduct technical progress meetings with our customers.
You will coach and guide our junior Java developers

a) Required level of studies or experience
Software Engineer or equivalent. Between 5 and 10 years of experience in Java development and technical leadership.
b) Knowledge and skills
Strong Java (JSE and JEE) knowledge is mandatory.
The candidate should have high expertise of the following technologies:
Spring
Hibernate, JPA
Java Swing
JGraph
JEE : Servelts, web services, JSP, JSF,
JQuery/JavaScript
Agile methodology
Very good knowledge of Design Patterns and UML notation.
Interested in the Java platform progression.
Strong knowledge of English.
Strong team player and good communicator. Technical writing is important
