Java Application Developer - German Speaking Contract in Bern

THE JOB:

Credit, Mortgages and Risk Management Solutions is responsible for Applications within the Business Areas Credit Pricing, Risk Management, Regulatory Requirements and Covered Bonds.

The open position will support two projects providing project results for Credit Pricing and Confirmation of Business Relations.

Focus lies on programming enhancements GUIs with connection to services.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- University degree level (preferably in IT or Banking) or equal level and experience.
- 4 OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN JAVA/JEE ENGINEERING IN APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
- FLUENT WRITTEN AND SPOKEN GERMAN
- good written and spoken English
- strong Java programming skills (Java 6, JPA)
- strong understanding of the JEE technologies (JEE 5, EJB, JSF, Facelets, HTML)
- strong understanding of relational database design
- good SQL skills
-good skills of Eclipse, Subversion
- good understanding of Patterns (Design)
- strong adherence to standards in the area of Java, JEE, Guidelines, CMMI, Architecture
- strong commitment to test-driven development (JUnit, Continuous Integration)
- good hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architectures
- strong understanding of OO Analysis, OO Design with UML
- strong soft skills to handle stakeholders with different background (Requirement engineers, Project leads, Programmers, Offshore resources, Testers etc.)

Nice to have skills:

- degree level qualification in computing
- experience in application development projects following incremental and iterative approaches (RUP, Agile)
- experience with enterprise-level change management
- experience with CORBA, Web Services
- experience in Credits domain
- motivation to contribute to process improvements in an interesting environment
- experience in banking or finance industry
