Java and C# Software Developer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Defence team and work on-site at a Client site in Belgium (Defence industry). We envisage the successful application will start work in December 2012/January 2013. This is a contracting position with long-term extensions up until 2016.

The successful individual must meet the following mandatory criteria.

Mandatory Requirements

AT LEAST 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN JAVA AND C# DEVELOPMENT

RECENT (LAST 2 YEARS) HISTORY OF DEPLOYMENT TO AFGHANISTAN IN A MILITARY OR CIVILIAN CAPACITY

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE TO SECRET LEVEL (NATIONAL EQUIVALENT)

Implementation and maintenance experience in web based applications and applications hosted on Windows 2000/XP/2003 and UNIX operating systems

Knowledge of and experience with MS Visual Studio .NET 2008/2010 development environment

Excellent spoken and written ability in English

UML based engineering (desirable)

Knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration (desirable)

Tasks include development, testing, trouble-shooting, documentation, operational support, system analysis, assessments, and administration.

The ideal applicant would have been deployed to Afghanistan in the last 2 years and will have current, active Security Clearance to Secret level.

Please not this position will require short annual deployment to Afghanistan.
