Java/.net Developer

Our Dallas client is looking for a seasoned software engineer who has experience developing in both Java and .NET environments. The position entails 80% Java development and 20% c# .NET development. Candidates should have SDLC experience in both technologies, excellent communication skills...contract could go longer than 1 year. The Senior Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying and supporting complex applications, utilizing Java, .NET, C#, InfoPath, Workflow Foundation, SharePoint Object Model, SQL Server, Oracle, AJAX, JQuery and other distributed technologies. Candidate will have strong understanding of a customer-facing distributed environment, with an ability to identify/address issues and develop/implement solutions that meet/exceed customer requirements. He/she will also be required to assist in definition of strategic direction of application portfolio, evaluating current solutions and determining future state of overall environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 7 years of IT/business experience, preferably within a large company

6+ years technical development experience utilizing Java technologies and .Net

Extensive experience with OOA/OOD

Must possess strong working experience in Java Swing.

Must possess strong working experience with database design/architecture concepts and principles

Must have strong working experience with SQL or other relational database language/technology

Must be able to design and develop Oracle stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages to support Back End business logic.

Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

.NET Certification a plus

Bachelor's degree

Must possess a collaborative/team oriented work approach

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs, develops, deploys and supports key standalone and distributed applications utilizing the technologies include, HTML/XML, JavaScript, J2EE, SQL Server, Oracle and .NET.

Writes high level design documentations and Unit test cases.

Develops large-scale standalone and distributed applications.

Plans and executes unit integration and acceptance testing

Participates in cross-functional teams to solve complex business/systems issues.

Support production and customer issues.
