We currently have a new 6- 8 week requirement (View a view to extend) for a Windows 7 User Support Engineer to be based in Milan, Italy. The role in question will be working with our Client, a well-established Global IT Outsourcing Organisation for their customer, an Investment Banking, Wealth & Asset Management Services company who trade worldwide.
The client looks to start the successful engineer 06th January 2014, however this is subject to Change. The contract will be based on A FOUR DAY WEEK WORKING FROM TUESDAY TO FRIDAY. The Successful candidate must be able to SPEAK BOTH ENGLISH AND ITALIAN TO A CONVERSATIONAL LEVEL and have the relevant skills and experience as mentioned below:
TASKS/ACTIVITIES
Support end-users on Win7 related questions and issues
Verifying with end-user whether Win7 migration completed successfully and getting end-user's sign-off
Outlook troubleshooting. Including manual configuration/recreating Mapi profile, adding/removing pst files etc
Experience in supporting market data applications such as Fact set, DataStream, Bloomberg & Reuters
Ability to add hardware/peripherals/monitor configuration/test network connectivity, etc
Map printers, Home drives, Shared drives
SKILLS NEEDED
- Knowledge of Windows 7 build
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Technical IT knowledge
- Experience with hardware and software issues
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent conflict management skills
- The ability to priorities and work under pressure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of migrations & projects
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
The client are looking to offer the successful applicant either £150 or €175 per day, Dependent on applicants preferred payment type. THERE ARE NO EXPENSES AVAILABLE FOR THIS CONTACT.
