IT Test Manager (Brussels)

Je functie: Context of the mission
The candidate will work within the Non-Life Information Systems division. This group is responsible for all Non-Life product related developments of underwriting applications and
claims management systems. The applications are developed based on a Cobol / DB2 back-office, with various technologies used on the visual, printing and communication side.
As large part of our portfolio for the upcoming years consists of project activities, we need to enforce our test management capabilities. We are looking for an open minded and
solution driven candidate with strong leadership skills as he/she will need to coop with firm timelines and bring people together from several teams.
The candidate will be the 'seller' of testing principles in the development teams and will coordinate test resources.

Objective of the job
The key tasks of the test manager are:
° To determine the test approach(es) of the project
° To evaluate the testing effort and create the test planning of (a) project(s)
° If needed, take part to test scenarios redaction and execution in collaboration with analysts of the different domains
° To organize Monitoring & Reporting in collaboration with IT projects managers and the business. Reporting on test progress, defects and status exit/entry criteria. Propose actions! Follow-up closely and coach!
° To manage the other types of testing such as:
i. Regression tests
ii. Performance tests
iii. Security tests
iv. Multi device testing
° To guarantee cross-project release testing
° To sell testing principles within the division, be the 'test guardian'
° To follow the testing standards (TMAP based)
To function effectively, the Test Manager is required to conceptualize and think abstractly, work in a technically complex and heterogeneous environment, and effectively communicate with all stakeholders of the projects.

Level of education required
Master in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Sciences,… or equivalent
Or
Bachelor in those domains with strong experience.

Language requirement
*Dutch and French, one fluent and at least the second one at level mentioned.
