IT Test Engineer Job

IT TEST ENGINEERS are needed for a long term contract position with Yoh's client located in Charleston, SC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Works as part of the Test Engineering team to plan the verification and validation program for the project.
- Translate user requirements and stakeholder input into executable test procedures and scripts under the direction of more experienced personnel.
- Must be able to configure test environments to support running of the software. Creates test reports and keeps accurate records on anomalies.
- Contributes to the resolution of defects by working closely with the developers.
- Must have used the Agile Scrum development life cycle and have worked in team settings.
- Must understand the concept of Test Driven Development and have used it to develop code.
- Must be familiar with configuration management and defect resolution cycles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical major. Will consider newly graduated engineers. Work experience may be substituted for education.
- Experience in testing IT hardware, software, systems and networks.
- Desired technologies include:

- Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel
  - SQL
  - Oracle Database
  - Linux
  - SSH
  - Shell Scripting
  - BPMN
  - WODM
  - FileNet
- Other nice to have experience includes:

- XML
  - XSD
  - XSLT
- Rational Team Concert
- Rational Requirements Composer
- Rational Quality Manager
- Experience working on Department of Veteran's Affairs programs and current VA Access highly desired.
- Knowledge of CMMI or Dept of Veterans Affairs PMAS and Propath processes desired.
