On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Basel, we are looking for an IT Test Engineer with deep knowledge of SQL and extensive experience in JIRA testing tool. Main responsibilities:

- Complying with test strategy, testing standards, templates and test plan
- Ensuring defect management
- Reporting on test progress
- Performing effort estimation
- Conducting tests and documents/logs test results and defects
- Defining, refining and executing test cases and provide evidences
- Developing test cases and reporting on execution
- Performing Functional Testing to assess for Accuracy, Suitability, Interoperability, Functional, Accessibility
- Performing regression testing for project, product and PRV (Production Readiness Verification)
- Designing and creating test data
- Ensuring testing environment version control
- Cleaning up test data within the used test environment
- Creating test data based on predefined requirements
- Embed Risk Awareness by designing and operating an effective control environment, proactively identifying and raising control deficiencies and driving diligent and sustainable risk remediation.

The skills and experience needed for these positions are:

- Over 4 years of experience with SQL database knowledge
- Deep knowledge of API and Web service testing
- Extensive experience with JIRA testing tool
- Fluent in English

Nice to have experience with:

- Python skills
- Test automation experience
- Agile Testing (Scrum)
