IT Technical Architect

OUR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT CLIENT REQUIRE A TECHNICAL ARCHITECT TO WORK AS PART OF A KEY PROGRAMME OF WORK.

YOU WILL BE DEFINING HIGH LEVEL FUTURE SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE.

THE ROLE IS BASED IN BRIGHTON AND THE CONTRACT WILL RUN TO END OF MARCH 2013, WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF SCOPE FOR EXTENSION.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
You will.
Develop and maintain information system and technology architecture and architecture representations for the project.
Work with stakeholders to define requirements through the architecture definition process. Provide assurances that the IT solutions being implemented as part of the project will meet the business need.
Ensure the IT solutions being implemented meet the current agreed standards and defined architecture.
Support the core systems infrastructure programme as part of the on-going development of the "IT architecture" capability within the organisation.
Provide technical input and assurance to any proposed procurement and implementation of IT solutions and services

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential skills
System architecture design, build and operating principles and techniques.
Web architecture design and development approaches and techniques.
Knowledge of the TOGAF 9.1 enterprise architecture framework and ArchiMate modelling notation.
Knowledge of the capabilities and features of networks, hardware and operating systems, system management, database technologies and related tools.
Knowledge and experience of procuring enterprise scale technology solutions and services. Knowledge of current and up to date development tools and methodologies
