IT Systems Integration Engineer

Our client is the leading computer components manufacturer seeking a TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION ENGINEER to integrate various RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability) technology ingredients including Hardware, Firmware, OS, and Applications on their software development platform and/or Customer Reference Board as per the defined use-case.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

- Installing CPU, Memory, and PCIe cards, updating BIOS, loading standard OSs such as RedHat Linux, SUSE Linux, and WinServer 12
- Configuring the Servers for remote log-in and control
- Documenting key learning from the integration efforts in the Technology Integration Guide
- Validating the integrated system in the lab
- Setting up lab bench with appropriate error injection tools and support testing various RAS technology features
- Collecting test data
- Documenting key learning and support developing RAS Validation Procedures
- Support of the team in developing demos showcasing the RAS technology use-cases and features to internal and external customers

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Experience installing and configuring Hardware components of a server, eg, CPU, memory, HDD, and PCIe cards, software components such as BIOS and operating systems
- Scripting in Python/Bash/TCL and other languages
- Detail oriented with strong organization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, debug skills
- Degree Required: BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or equivalent)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Good understanding of Server Architecture
- Hands-on experience installing and configuring Hardware and Software components
- Technical knowledge of/ability to rapidly learn computer design and components (Desktop/Workstation/Server)
- Experience Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, QEMU, etc.)
- Experience with Flash Programmers, network and SMBus Protocol Analyzers

This contract position is expected to be 12 months in duration.
