IT SYSTEM ENGINEER (MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGIES)

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to help with the design, the implementation and maintenance of, and support (3rd) for our client's enterprise solutions (Microsoft environment, Soft- and Hardware).Our Client is a Financial Service Provider in Basel.

Tasks

- Ensure implementation and maintenance of core server, database and application infrastructure technologies according to proven methodology.
- Support and maintain business-critical infrastructure applications, and develop solid, comprehensive processes.
- Manage IT projects, including testing and implementation of new releases in cooperation with business areas and service providers
- Contribute to vendor management including deliverables, contract and commercial negotiations
- Willingness to work outside normal working hours

Requirements

- Very good knowledge of Windows server technology, SQL Server, SQL Reporting and Analysis Services, Active Directory and Scripting languages
- Understanding of networking technologies and associated infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of Exchange Server, Citrix, SCCM, SCOM, SharePoint and VMware ESX.
- Broad understanding of ITIL fundamentals and their application in a business environment, in particular in relation to change management
- Experience in a customer-facing role desired.
- Good English spoken and written.
