Adecco IT is currently looking for an experienced IT SUPPORTER/APPLICATION SERVER ADMINISTRATOR on behalf of its client, a major global company in the Healthcare sector located in Basel.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
- 1st and 2nd level IT support for an ongoing eLN Software (electronic Lab Software) roll-out to biological laboratories.
- Planning and conducting software installations on the client machines.
- Creation and maintenance of user accounts on the applicationserver.
QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Bachelors of Engineering or Science (or equivalent work experience) Knowledge of SQL under Linux Unix
- 5+ years of experience in SCIENTIFIC IT SUPPORT (Experience with electronic Lab Notebooks is a definite asset)
- Knowledge of RDBMS: Oracle.
- Knowledge of SQL; Linux/Unix
- Experience with RDBMS fundamentals and SDLC
- Excellent analytical, problem solving skills and communication skills.
- Proficiency with scientific computer software, hardware and windows 7/8 operating system.
- Understanding of 3 TIER APPLICATION SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE.
- Excellent Troubleshooting experience
- Ability to work with scientific users.
- Very organized personality able to handle priorities and multitask support requests.
MISCELLANEOUS:
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English (additional German and/or French a plus)
- START: ASAP
- END: 30.06.2014
- Workload: 100% in Basel
