IT Support- Developer

IT SUPPORT - DEVELOPER

Our international client is urgently looking for an IT Supporter- Developer for a contract role based in Zurich.

Contract duration from 3-6 months with view to a permanent role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
- Talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues;
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
- Replacing parts as required;
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
- Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications;
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
- Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
- Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
- Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time;
- Testing and evaluating new technology;
- Due to the nature of the work, you may be expected to work shifts or be on call. It may also be necessary to work extra hours to finish a job.
- Considerable client contact is usually required.

REQUIREMENTS:

- A minimum of 4 years commercial IT experience
- A Computer Science related degree
- Network certifications
- Microsoft certifications
- Linux certifications
- JAVA/C++/PHP basic development experience a must
- MySQL/Oracle developer experience
- Oracle BI experience
