IT Solutions Analyst - GDS, Payment Systems - West Midlands

IT SOLUTIONS ANALYST required for Public Sector organisation based in Worcester, West Midlands.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A KNOWLEDGE OF THE GOVERNMENT DIGITAL SERVICE (GDS) AND IDEALLY KNOWLEDGE OF PAYMENT SYSTEMS IN USE ACROSS A RANGE OF INDUSTRIES.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Identification of potential solutions to meet the Agency's business requirements for fee calculation and payment. This will involve researching what is being used already within government and the private sector and could range from in-house bespoke software to complete off the shelf packages.

Assessment of solution options in consultation with the project team and impacted business areas (specifically Export Health Certification), providing information on the relative risks and benefits of each option to allow the business to make an informed decision on product selection.

Production of a recommendation paper on product selection and presenting said paper to the project board.

Liaison with ICT and/or Procurement to progress the necessary procurement or framework commercials

Delivery of the IT specific elements of the overall Charging Project Business Case.

Development of a model for future solutions research and selection.

THE SOLUTIONS IDENTIFIED WILL NEED TO FULFIL BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS, WILL NEED TO BE DELIVERED WITHIN CHALLENGING TIMESCALES, AND WILL FIT WITH GOVERNMENT STANDARDS FOR DIGITAL SERVICES.
