IT Run Specialist (Murex Risk)

One of our major banking clients is looking for an IT Run Specialist (Murex Risk) for a 4+ month contract in Amsterdam. This is an urgent requirement offering a quick start but can be flexible for the right IT Run Specialist (Murex Risk).

ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES GENERAL CONTEXT:

- Subject Matter Expert and key player for the Murex Risk area in the Banking clients' Markets, located in Amsterdam
- The secondary expertise we are looking for is Front Office
- You will be part of a highly skilled Murex team, interaction with business, guarantee quality of projects, structural improvements, (application and processes), major incidents and managing of escalations.
- To work with third party vendor/manage services support team to provide a seamless support model for the business.
- You will be working in an international environment with projects and operations in New York, Singapore and Brazil.

SOFT SKILLS:

- Analytical decision-making: identifies and solves problems using insight and experience to make good decisions; gathers relevant information, identifying important issues and drawing conclusions.
- Communication skills in setting expectations and creating reports are very important here, this is vital in order to succeed in the role.
- Teamwork: works effectively with others; helps to build strong teams and networks.
- Can do attitude
- Stakeholder management

HARD SKILLS:

- Curve construction, pre-trade, front office configuration, daily position management and market risk
- Investment Banking experience, including the following asset classes: Interest Rates, FX, Commodities and Structured deals

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Proven experience, 5-10 years, in MUREX 3.1.XX:
- Asset classes: FX, IR and Commodities
- Experience with a multi-entity front-to-back setup
- Market data: Real Time and batch upload
- Market risk module
- Good SQL knowledge is key, Unix nice to have

NICE TO HAVES:

- Knowledge about the Agile/Scrum way of working
- Certification in ITIL and BISL
