IT Project Scheduling Specialist Job

IT PROJECT SCHEDULING SPECIALIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- MS Project 2010
- Prior IT Project Coordination/Admin experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Works with PM's to perform project schedule development, forecasting, critical path analysis, reporting, obtaining schedule updates and update verification/validation.
- Specifically, facilitate team meetings to develop schedule
- Build schedule in MS Project
- Define critical path(s)
- Performance reporting; recommend appropriate recovery plans for schedule variances
- Prepare program/project/schedule status reports
- Provide ownership/oversight for project schedule, monitor milestones and interdependencies between sub-projects.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Education: High School Diploma/GED or applicable certification or equivalent Work Experience. Four (4) year degree preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in applying theories, principles, and techniques of project management to IT projects.
- Extensive knowledge and proficiency with MS Project 2010.
- Proficient with MS Office tools.
- Proven ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Facilitation experience.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- NOTE: Looking for a skill set higher than a project coordinator/admin.

Position Notes
- This position reports to an IT Project Controls Scheduling Manager. This is a scheduling role for IT projects, not engineering projects.
- Prior IT PM experience is welcome, but this is not a PM role.
