PMP CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Knowledge of and strong facility for project management financial tools or equivalent. MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) expertise. Large (50+ TB) data warehouse experience desirable.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Project Manager (PM) candidate will be responsible to manage Data and Information Products projects and initiatives for the Enterprise Data Platform. This role will provide PM leadership for a combination of development and infrastructure projects including management of related scope, schedule, budget, risks and communication. This role will also manage the project financial estimates, forecasts, change orders and reconciliations with a priority on day-to-day accuracy.

Candidate must have demonstrated and be prepared to exhibit extensive leadership, initiative and ownership of large (multi-million $ and more than 10 team member) project or program management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required; MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years experience required
- Expert knowledge of software development processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective development and deployment of software and system products required
- PMP certification required
- Knowledge of and strong facility for project management financial tools or equivalent
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) expertise
- Large (50+ TB) data warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to coordinate activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams
- Strong team leader, with the ability to communicate with both technical and business people at all levels of the organization
- Excellent analysis skills with a focus on project financials and an ability to coordinate across multiple financial tools and groups to ensure financial accuracy and consistency
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Expert ability to work independently and manage one s time

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate/create project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
- Create and review project charters, milestone gates and work orders for project execution.
- Coordinate/create/manage project budgets, estimates and actuals with minimal variance.
- Coordinate/create/manage detailed project schedule with minimal variance.
- Oversee and manage project scope definition, execution and containment to customer expectations and agreements.
- Manage project risk to obtain project success.
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
- Meet and communicate effectively with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to communicate status, solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
