IT Project Manager PMP

*IT PROJECT MANAGER NEEDED*

- Leads projects as the single point of managerial control
- Helps promote the value of project management to project stakeholders and enterprise constituents
- Ensures project implementation and deployment through the PMO
- Executes project methodology as defined
- Partners with business stakeholders to collaborate on effective project solutions
- Successfully drives projects with a leadership vision through following tactical capabilities:
- Leads the planning and scope development effort
- Estimates cost, time and resource requirements
- Defines project roles and responsibilities to support scope
- Create and maintain project plan via Microsoft Project
- Manages stakeholder expectations by emphasizing strong communication
- Identifies, quantifies, responds to and controls project risks
- Monitors and controls project progress and maintains standard metrics
- Ensures defined quality standards are met
- Closes projects on time, on budget, with high quality and captures lessons learned
- Assists the IT PMO Manager in defining and implementing project best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in an IT field, business management or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years direct work experience in an IT project management capacity using a defined methodology, including all aspects of development and execution or comparable experience
- PMP required, plus 2 years demonstrated experience as a practicing PMP
- Proven success in leading and driving solutions by leveraging the skills of a high-performing team
- Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Project
- Understanding of IT-specific project practices including SDLC
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and tight timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with managing to a project methodology
- Advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Experience in developing and deploying project best practices, policies, procedures, and processes
- Demonstrated vision in problem solving
