IT Project Manager Job

IT PROJECT MANAGER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Los Angeles, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
- Lead the planning and implementation of project and facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements.
- Develop full scale project plans.
- Assemble and coordinate project staff.
- Manage project budget, project resource allocation, plan and schedule project timelines.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools while providing direction and support to project team.
- Monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to all stakeholders with the reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
- Ensures that all IT Work Streams follow the standard procedures that are used in the management and deployment of project.
- Undertakes strategy creation for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
- Responsible for Integration Management - consisting of project plan development, project milestones, project deliverables, project plan execution, and integrated change control activities.
- Responsible for Scope Management - consisting of project initiation, scope planning, scope definition and scope change control activities at Program and Work Stream Levels.
- Identifies and solves project issues effectively at Program and Work Stream Levels.
- Performs Work Stream assessment and evaluations through status reporting and team meetings.
- Conduct post implementation evaluations to identify what went well and lessons learned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related business area.
- Seven to ten (7 - 10) years' experience as an IT project manager.
- Experience running both infrastructure and application projects.
- Knowledge of Health Care Data Elements.
- QNXT experience
- Experience of Health Care reform and the Exchange.
- Managed Care experience is a must.
- Experience with Process Improvement Methodology including defining and documenting workflow.
- Experience with Workflow Tools.
- Basic understanding of data models and SQL.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Visio, and project plan.
- Able to articulate and follow the project management and SDLC life cycles.
