Our client is one of the world's most renowned financial services seeking a Project Manager who will be an integral part of their Loyalty Program Management office. Candidates must be experts in the elements of corporate programs including Planning, Estimation, Meeting Facilitation, Scheduling, Task Management, Status Communication, Risk Management, Escalation, etc.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare statement of work, project plans, coordinate project activities, and negotiate project commitments
- Interact with multiple teams and numerous resources to schedule meetings, get status, understand next steps, troubleshoot issues, and deliver working software
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess application needs and system requirements
- Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems
- Monitor project progress and report on it

REQUIREMENTS:

- Current PMP certification required
- Bachelor degree required; MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
- 5-7 years experience on IT projects required
- Experience managing web-based application development and cross-platform integration projects
- Technical background a plus
- PMI standards and methodology required; agile and scrum methodology a plus
- Ability to review and use high level diagrams and technical information to provide context to management of projects
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and software development methods including Waterfall and Agile
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to drive cross-functional project teams dispersed across multiple geographies in a Matrix structure with resources reporting directly to Resource Managers and not the project manager
- Ability to motivate project team members and influence their tasks to align with the project goals and priorities
- Ability to discuss statements of work and negotiate scope and commercial terms with customers and vendors
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle methodologies
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, work independently, and manage one's time
