IT PROJECT MANAGER FOSTER CITY, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

MUST HAVE SKILLS: 8-10 years relevant experience;.*Active PMP cert is required - please attached scanned copy to each submittal for verification*; Familiarity with Oracle E-business Suite (specifically P2P, iProc, iExpense); Knowledge of Waterfall Project Lifecycle methodology; Soft skills for group: Flexibility, excellent communication skills.

Nice to have skills: Workday* and SharePoint knowledge/experience would be very helpful; Clarity would be helpful.

This candidate will join the Corporate IT Project Management Office for Human Resource Program Solutions. The Program includes technical project management for Corporate and HR application portfolio which includes SaaS, externally hosted and internally hosted package solutions such as Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Learning Management Systems, Employee Survey, Long Term Care etc. The Project Manager will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with matrixed teams comprised of Systems Analyst, Vendor, Development, Quality Assurance Testing, Operations and HR Business personnel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- BA/BS or equivalent work experience required; Concentration in HR, Computer Science or a related technical discipline and/or an MS/MBA a plus
- 5-7 years of experience managing IT Projects required
- PMP certification REQUIRED

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL

- Partner with Business and IT Development, manage cross-divisional projects, in remote locations.
- Work with business and technology subject matter experts to define scope, create accurate and inclusive estimates, develop budgets and project plans, and produce high quality project charters and other planning documentation needed for funding approvals.
- Direct project activities, conduct reviews, manage risk mitigation, issues, change control processes, and communicate status to senior executives within the development and business partner organizations.
- Manage and track project budgets, forecasts and schedule to achieve target scope, schedule and cost.
- Ensure that all Corporate Information Technology projects are in compliance with internal Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely information is collected and reported regularly on project progress and financial status.
- Provide project teams with expertise, direction, motivation, and encouragement. Direct project team composed of: local and remote teams/resources and external vendors.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in roles and responsibilities.
- Achieve project goals by collaborating with stakeholders at all management levels including architects and strategists, technical IT subject matter experts, business partners, vendors, and senior management.
- Demonstrate skills in conflict management and negotiation to achieve project goals and develop trust with stakeholders.
- Manage through influence, but without direct management authority. Use capabilities to influence customers and stakeholders, and properly manage divergent expectations.
- Embrace teamwork while promoting a culture of openness and flexibility.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Project Management experience 5+ years experience
- PMP Certification required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project
- 2+ years of experience using Oracle E-business Suite including iExpense, iProc, P2P
- Experience managing and executing large scale global HR implementations
- Knowledge of Waterfall Project Lifecycle methodology
- Workday, SharePoint, and/or Clarity experience a plus
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required including demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels
- Ability to understand Business needs related to Human Resource system solutions
- Experience working with and managing the activities of third party vendors
- Working knowledge of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration
- Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices
- Self-motivated; able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional teams in remote locations
- Team player; able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization
- Solid analytical skills; able to think strategically
- Location: Foster City preferred, but Austin candidates also eligible
