IT PROJECT MANAGER FOSTER CITY, CA 11 MONTH CONTRACT

Our clients products provide companies with the tools to better manage spending, deepen supplier relationships and improve business decision making by integrating payment and procurement processes into enterprise management systems. The Project Manager will report into the Commercial PMO and be responsible for managing and delivering multiple highly complex software development and/or integration projects in a very fast paced environment with matrixed cross functional team members from multiple geographic locations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Developing project plan and charter package
- Managing project funding request process,
- Identifying project risks and mitigation plan
- Developing comprehensive project schedule
- Providing weekly project status reports
- Tracking project status at task level
- Scheduling and conducting project meetings
- Providing meeting agenda and taking minutes
- Managing project change requests
- Tracking project issues/action items to closure
- Managing project financials including budgeting, forecasting and tracking
- Developing deployment plan
- Managing production installation
- Providing directions and ensuring all project activities and deliverables are adhering to client methodologies and in compliance with Key Controls

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree in computer science or related engineering field required; Advanced degree in engineering or MBA preferred
- PMP certification required
- 15 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in software solution development and technical project management in data management, Business Intelligence and online reporting areas required
- Expert level fluency in using the following project management tools including Clarity, Microsoft project, SharePoint, Microsoft Office suite (Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Solid project management experience in all IT project phases including initiation, planning, execution, through deployment by following formal project management methodologies
- Must have expertise level experiences in project scope definition, schedule and cost development, risks management, planning, tracking, project financial management including forecasting and variance analysis, change management, and status reporting to all levels
- Must have proficient business writing, communication, presentation, negotiation, leadership and customer relationship management skills
- Must have hands-on management experience spanning across all phases in software solution development life cycle including requirements analysis, application design, development, testing, deployment planning and production installation
- Must have technical software solution development management experience in Financial or card payment processing industry
- Must have very good understanding and project management experience in managing infrastructure and security related tasks and deliverables
- Must have hands-on, end-to-end project financial management experience and skills including project budget development, forecasting and tracking, contract management, variance analysis and balancing
- Very strong communication and business writing skills
- Superb time management skills, highly productive and organized
- Strong leadership, management, and negotiation skills
- Learns quickly and can work independently
