IT Project Manager

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (WAN/LAN TRACK)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To deploy cost-efficient and effective plans for network technology projects to achieve business goals and objectives. 
- Manages complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity
- Converts business cases to project plans
- Ensures project issues are tracked, managed and resolved
- Develops and implements project communication plans
- Ensures cross-track dependencies are identified and managed
- Required to know or learn IT's project and process methodology and execute it within the established IT organizational framework and oversight processes
- Manages coordination across multiple stakeholders from both IT and Business to ensure project objectives are met
- Coordinates deliverables of consultants, vendors and subject matter experts as required
- Manages and resolves issues within scope of responsibility and escalates when appropriate
- Manages full project life cycle and end-to-end accountability for results
- Actively drives the project

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- 6+ years project management experience with complex IT projects or multiple IT projects of moderate complexity
- Strong planning, coordination and process management skills
- Customer service oriented to assist client with articulating business problem and project requirements
- Knowledgeable with gathering customer/project requirements
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Time management and task prioritization skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Productivity tools as well as MS Project and project management methodologies
- 8+ years experience in infrastructure and/or network experience
- Demonstrable project budget responsibility and management of Matrix teams up to 25 people
- Can match appropriate IT methods to identified clients needs
- Must have good planning skills, be detail oriented, well organized, problem solving/analytical, self-directed, team focused, and results oriented individual
- Experienced with resource management, procurement management, project tracking and risk management
- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

- Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute preferred
- Process background and certifications, eg. Six Sigma, ITIL and or Agile
- Healthcare industry knowledge preferred
