IT Operations/Production Support

THIS IS A 6-7 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION FOR IT OPERATIONS/PRODUCTION SUPPORT

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Install new software releases/updates into Production working closely with Development, Change Management, System Administration, DBAs and Production Support
- Conduct reviews of application release notes to identify potential problems prior to release
- Monitor Production Environments to resolve system abends and follow escalation procedures as required
- TSG Ticket Resolution - 2nd level support
- Develop, repair and enhance operation's scripts
- Participate on a rotation pager schedule that provides system support on a 24x7 basis, 365 days/year

Requirements:

- Extensive experience in applications troubleshooting
- Experience in Radius Messaging
- Basic telecommunications and wireless industry knowledge
- 3+ years of experience working with Sun One Application, Web and Proxy Servers
- 3+ years of experience working with Solaris and/or Redhat Linux operating systems
- 3+ years of experience working in a Unix Shell Scripting ksh, PHP or Perl
- 3+ years of experience writing complex Oracle PL/SQL queries
- General knowledge of networks and ablility to distinguish between application vs. network problems
- Any experience with the following would be a plus
- Weblogic Server
- Oracle WebCenter
- Veritas Cluster Server
- LDAP
- CSS/ACE Support
