IT OPERATIONS ANALYST
FIELD OF ACTIVITY
provide support to IT mission critical applications within the in house Services environment and ensure that maximum service level is provided to customers on a 24 hour basis.
TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the production environment 24/7 and solve business and IT problems with innovative solutions to ensure that maximum service level is provided to Customers on a 24 hour basis.
Implement, integrate and support third party software as well as internally developed applications within the in house services IT productions environment
Analyse problems and resolve issues during shift work (2 shifts between 7:00 and 21:30) and perform monitoring, tuning and optimisation of performance of in-house IT applications whilst ensuring maximum availability and service to customers
Ensure the integrity of the production environment and implement upgrades or new products that are critical for the daily operational business
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS:
- University degree, BAC+2/3 in an IT related discipline or equivalent through relevant work experience
- Experience in Linux and/or UNIX environments is required
- Good knowledge of Shell Scripting, Oracle and SQL; basic knowledge of C, C++ or other Object Oriented programming
- Ability to work in a customer-facing role, service-oriented attitude and attention to detail
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and French. Additional languages will be an asset
- Dedication, strong team and communication skills, flexibility as well as competent handling of MS Office applications.
