Cambridge Assessment 2015 IT Graduate Programme

Graduate Trainee - Integration (Job Ref: IS853)

Full Time, 18 Month Fixed Term

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £21,000

The perfect foundation for a great career.

If you are inquisitive, curious and keen to learn, then this intensive full time 18-month programme could be perfect for you. Don't think for a moment that you're going to be stuck behind a screen for 18 months! We want you to develop a really well-rounded skill set in terms of both technology and business, to kick-start your IT career.

WHAT WE OFFER
Working with experts in their field, you'll gain exposure to all aspects of Enterprise Application, Process Integration and Development. It's your chance to quickly build your experience right across the board - from our Service Desk, Data Centre Operations, Technical Support and Application Testing to Software Development and Project Management.

So when we said 'intensive', we meant it! There's plenty of support every step of the way though. You'll have a line manager and a buddy in each role, as well as a mentor who'll be there for you through your whole experience.

With comprehensive technical, soft skills training and on-the job training, you will also get the chance to understand the challenges of the numerous legacy technologies and addressing complex integration issues; devising ways of promoting the continuing alignment of technology across the three business streams as relevant.

As you progress, there will be challenging projects and work like developing using BizTalk, SSIS and websphere MQ, .Net and SQL. You will learn best practices and guidelines across the industry on various technologies. This experience will enhance your ability to define, troubleshoot, resolve and document problems during implementation of projects and post Go Live.

While you're on the programme, you'll be an employee with full employee benefits including paid holidays and pension. At the end of it, we aim to offer you a permanent role which matches your abilities, talents and aspirations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
A burning interest in (and a real passion for) IT is a must, together with excellent communication and teamworking skills. You're not only happy to try new things, but always ready to offer ideas and suggestions to help us improve. Open minded and flexible, you enjoy listening to others' viewpoints and learning from them.

In terms of your degree, you should have (or be expecting to achieve) at least a higher second in a science, maths, computing or engineering discipline. You need to have basic to good knowledge in these areas.
• SQL
• C sharp
• ASP.net
• XML
• XSLT

You will need to be based in or near Cambridge and we may be able to help with relocation expenses depending on the circumstances.
